ヽ(´O｀；MIRACLE (エモジ ミラクル）
"ヽ(´o｀；Miracle" is a still life photography project by photographer Pietro Cocco and set designer Keiko Hudson. Tokyo is the location chosen for the first series, where the term “emoji” is originally from. Started in summer 2016, the project will be updated costantly as the two will keep shooting in different countries.
Props include both printed-out emoji and actual objects that inspired emoji design, combined with local objects such as grocery items set up in house interiors.
This project explores not only a simple uniqueness of still life but also the idea of communication and self expression on how "emoji' became a way of communication that speaks globally, without language barriers. It also focuses on the paradox created by the use of a digital-born tool as an actual tangible object in the composition.
